Pediatric Dentistry

Pediatric dentistry is the branch of dentistry in charge of treating children. The pediatric dentist will therefore be in charge of examining and treating children and newborns. He/she is also in charge of detecting possible anomalies in the position of the jaws or teeth to refer to the orthodontist, a specialist in orthodontics, and to make a restorative treatment if needed.

The restorative treatment mainly consists of treating trauma, using sealants that have the function of slightly filling the grooves and fissures of the dental pieces without hardly removing dental material to avoid possible caries, and treating the caries produced and its consequences.
